Some recent pictures of Sarah

This morning Sarah was at the piano getting ready to play with the Young Women in Sacrament Meeting.
She looked so pretty there I took this quick picture.
Her performance was perfect. I was a proud mom.

Spanish Fork Reservoir

We recently discovered the Spanish Fork Reservoir and I've been taking the kids there lately. It's very fun, and most important, free. Jay's two youngest kids Caleb and Emily came to visit for the day and this is where we decided to go.

Will spends most of his time hanging out with his bottle and holding his hair-- his most favorite thing in the world.

I took him up to the playground on the hill while the others were floating about on the tubes.

He's such a good toddler for me most of the time.
I just really enjoy him right now.

The only picture of me is my toes:)

Aaron's Birthday

My sweet brother Aaron turned 25 this week. I took him to sushi and Sub Zero Ice Cream.
It has been so great to have him around after such a long time.
Lily and I adore him and want to eat him up he's so cute.
So cute and helpful and willing and sweet to do anything and yet so, so messy.
(How is that?)
Messy or even somewhat crazy, we love our darling Aaron.
One of the purest souls I've ever known-- he just is who he is.
These are all the amazing pictures he takes with his phone.
All of them are places we've been together or just he and Will, (which Will loves.)

Pizza!

Went to the Pizza Pie Cafe yesterday where Will and John ate free with Peter and I. John, our terribly picky eater, is picking at his plain pasta and dessert pizza and Will eats a whole piece of pizza, pasta with sauce, and even a little salad like a champ.
I love that this child actually eats! So wonderful!

Sarah's sunburn

No matter how many times we remind this girl she is a redhead and hence NOT ABLE TO BE IN THE SUN she manages to forget every year and get herself pretty sunburned, which is of course upsetting because we worry about her setting herself up for skin cancer in the future.

But when Sarah gets burned she isn't thinking about skin cancer. She's thinking about how her skin feels like it is on fire and hurts to even have a gentle breeze blowing by. She's thinking about wearing the least amount of clothing and how she's supposed to sleep at night and how she can't train for her half marathon in August because it hurts to move.

Looks painful, no?

This is how she spent the last few days walking around the house holding up her shorts as she carefully navigated herself around and finally just getting rid of the shorts altogether.
There is nothing we can really do but laugh sometimes because she looks hilarious walking stiffly about and Nathaniel's friends come in and out of the house unawares that a teenage girl is standing in the kitchen in her undies.

Poor, poor Sarah.

Will was a busy boy today

Rebecca left out a Sharpie today.
Will knew immediately upon being found that he was not supposed to be doing this so here he is being sad.

But he perked up pretty quick:

He also played with the kittens next door.

Melissa visits

My dear friend Melissa came to visit me this past week.
(And since she hadn't been we took her to Stewart Falls.)

 Aaron's amazing picture.

Will enjoyed being carried and throwing rocks  into the water.

Can I just say how I love having Aaron here? He's so good to us. He recently brought Sarah a laptop he fixed up and installed with a new hard drive. Love you Aaron!

Melissa and I went to the temple, did some shopping, watched Saratov Approach, ate sushi and of course talked woman talk, but I think the highlight of her trip was meeting Donny Osmond in Costco:

I so did not want to be in this picture. We had not been in the store a minute when Melissa spotted him. It went like this:
"April! Is that Donny Osmond?"
"Where?"
"Right there!"
"I donno, I can only see the back of his head."
After strategically placing us here and there she determined that it was indeed the man himself. Then she fretted multiple times about asking him for a picture. I tried to dissuade her as I felt for the poor guy but when she spotted him and his wife alone on an aisle she decided to go for it. He and his wife were very gracious. I feel as if I'm a true Utahan now. As soon as we got home she googled him so she could watch some of the old Donny & Marie shows she watched when she was younger and was giddy the rest of the day-- it was very cute.
